I enjoyed this book. Ms. Youngblood does an excellent job of giving the inner workings of her characters depth and authenticity. Both Sierra and Dalton are well fleshed out and strong in their thoughts, opinions, and actions. The side characters all have unique personalities and motivations. The only who comes off a bit shallow and without development across the story is Parker. Perhaps he will get his own story where we can see more growth from him. There is plenty for Sierra, Dalton, and others to sort out based on past decisions. A wonderful tangle to unweave one page at a time. Plus I enjoy all the theater references.
The cover doesn't do the story justice.
Definitely a clean and wholesome read with believablility.

Seeking Mr Perfect The Jane Austen Pact edition by Jennifer Youngblood Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
Sierra left home to make her success in New York. She's done it and thinks she'll soon be engaged. She is called back home to assist her Aunt Bennie and literally runs into her first love. Dalton has left the marines and started his own construction company. Both of them have had hard times as teens and can't seem to get beyond the hurt of their separation. It's a good read and well written with a surprising twist at the end.
This entry in the Jane Austen Pact series is both funny and satisfying. The sparkling dialogue between two personalities clearly sparking with an age-old friendship turned lovers (clean) is immensely entertaining. The crazy scheme concocted by two sidekicks to reunite the couple is funny, and the resolution of the conflict between the main characters is satisfying. Another great comedy by Youngblood.
I can't say enough about this fun, clean romance. I loved Sierra and Dalton. I adored Sierra's slightly crazy aunt. The twists and turns and depth of this novel are just a step above anything I've read lately. I truly loved it!
Sierra just upped and left when her best friend, boyfriend and first love joined the military. She had an idea of how her husband should be and although she loved Dalton with all her heart, she believed he doesn’t fit that profile. Her mother was a drunk who killed her best friend’s mom in an automobile accident and she had to bear the brunt of her school mates, loosing the best friend in the process. Dalton’s dad was a drunk and it looked like he was headed in the same direction. She disappeared for over seven years and had to rush home because her aunt was in trouble. Dalton had turned so much better than she expected and still as handsome as ever, he didn’t touch alcohol. Her heart can’t help the attraction even though she had a boyfriend who might propose any day. Beautiful story with a happily ever after❤️❤️
This is a well-done modern day version of Persuasion by Jane Austin. The plot was very good and kept me interested with some unexpected twists and turns. Loved how the characters were true to Austin’s characters and how the modern spin was completely believable. Clean but very swoony and you couldn’t help but love the fierce attraction between Sierra and Dalton. And I loved how the characters changed for the better and abandoned their immature actions and poor decisions for more principled and hard-working life-styles. Definitely a keeper on your “read again” book shelf!
About half way through I thought, "This is more like Persuasion than Pride and Prejudice." Then near the end, one of the characters tells the happy couple the same thing.
This is a sweet and easy read. I loved Dalton and thought Sierra was a pretty good character, as well, although she was more than a little unfair to Dalton.
One thing I didn't like was Dalton and Sierra got their happy ending, the people they were dating didn't. Not only did Parker and Ivie Jane not get happy endings, they were treated kind of poorly.
Aunt Bennie was a character.
Loved the characters, especially Dalton. He was so sweet! Aunt Bennie was hilarious! I love that this was a clean read. Jennifer is one of my favorite authors. Her books are always an instant click for me. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a fun, clean read.
